The Second International School on Information and System Security is a two
weeks school for Ph.D. students and young researchers in computer science. The
second edition, which follows a succesful first edition held in Como in
September 2004, will focus on privacy.
The school will be held in the beautiful town of Como which
is easily reachable by plane, being close to the Milano Airports of Malpensa and
Linate and also to the airport of Zurich. Como is also very well connected by
trains to all of the major Italian and European Cities.
Up to 30 students will be admitted. Deadline for application
is June 10, 2004. Applicants must include a short resume and will be notified
about admission by June 25, 2004. Each of the courses that are offered consists
of 10/15 hours of lecturing spread over the two-weeks period. Upon request, a
final evaluation for each course will be made through a final exam or project.
The program of the school will also include special sessions on industry and
research projects dealing with various aspects of security. The official
language of the school is English.
